Next Step Disability Youth Headquarters supports schools leavers 18 years plus, this is an environment 18 - 25 year olds to have fun, learn new skills and challenge themselves.
YHQ offers a variety of programmes and activities such as art, life skills, sport, gaming, learning, volunteering, guest speakers.
We want young disabled people to have the opportunities to live independent and fulfilling lives.
We have lots of different activities for you to try and new skills for you to learn.
Here are some of the activities that we run:
The youth/ School leavers Hub:
Aimed at 18 - 25 years old
Mock café style set up with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the hospitality industry from the kitchen through to front of house, customer service, coffee making, waiting and clearing tables etc.
Menu:( Changing each week) with input from participants
Basic café style lunches: soups and toasties, BLT’s, Burgers etc
Coffee and cake
Juices and smoothies
Couches and bean bags for chilling out
Quiet, comfy reading zone with a collection of books and magazines
Access to a Computer and Printer
Gaming devices x 2
Information on cyber safety available
Ipod and earphones with chill out music, meditations, podcasts
On the 30th of August from 12pm- 3pm we will be having an Open Day at the Next Step Community Hub, please join us for a BBQ and activities.
